Kind of a quiet weekend, but you can still find quirky activities!
CLLAW IX @ Joe's Bar - Saturday, April 16 10:00 p.m.
Watch the glamazon women of the Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers battle it out for the title. I went to the last CLLAW, and, since it's put on by the SideShow Theater Company, I figured it would just be a bunch of actors pretending to arm wrestle. But these women are intense! I wouldn't want to go up against them! It's definitely a production from start to finish. $25 admission for tickets and open bar until 1:00 a.m. The match benefits ArtReach at Lill Street.
Dating for Nerds @ The Hidden Shamrock - Saturday, April 16 4:00 p.m.
It's hard for nerds to date! Nerds @ Heart makes it less hard with a single mingle event featuring board games, trivia and fun activies.
The Trials of Busta Keaton @ Hoover-Leppen Theater - Friday, April 15 - Sunday, May 1
This tribute to the black and white silent film era premiers tonight at the Center on Halsted's. Check out the video posted on the website. Even the dancers will be painted black and white.
Stay away from Wrigley! Race to Wrigley takes place Saturday morning, which means drunk people AND their families.
